New bed sheet

Finally, I found a bedsheet that we both like. I hated my bedsheet all this while. It was from aussino and it was really a good deal coz they were having 70% closing down sale (at Lot 10). But I don't like the fabric. I got this new one from Akemi. It's much more expensive but the fabric is nice.

Where to get my next set of bedsheet? Any recommendation? I don't like 100% cotton. I prefer cotton sateen .. it feels smooth. But the difference in price is VERY big.

Updates .. part 2

Hmm it's been a long long time since I last wrote here. A lot happened .. like .. we finally moved in! I can't remember the date but my astro started 19 July and we stayed there for about 1 week plus without astro. So it should be beginning of July. So we have stay there for 3 months!!!

Well, everything is good and in order. We are living together happily. There are times we have arguments and stuff but I guess it's normal for people staying together. Overall it's a happy 3 good months.

The only bad thing about moving in is the house chores. I clean the place every weekend and I still feel it's dirty. And then we have to wash clothes about 4 times a week. Not like it's a difficult task but when you are tired after work and want to catch up with your sleep, you still need to wait for the washing machine to finish cleaning and then hang the clothes. But I am very very glad coz darling is helping with a lot of stuff. Like he do the washing when I come home late. He wash dishes and he even iron my clothes! OMG I love this coz I hate to iron clothes :P

We had a small problem few weeks back. Both of us always have headache although we had enough and good sleep. Darling mentioned it to his mum that we almost finished the whole box of panadol and we have only stay there for 2 months. Lai lai straight away tell us it's about feng shui coz we have the plaster ceiling in our room and the beam is on top of our head when we sleep. Lai lai give us a small feng ling to hang on the beam. I didn't believe in this but no harm trying.

Surprisingly we have no more headache after we hang the feng ling. I have this kind of problem occasionally so it might just be coincidence. But darling don't have the problem anymore, at all. So hmmm ..... ;)

About the house warming ... yes I will have it but don't know when. So wait lah. Keep your house warming gift first ;)

Updates

So, darling installed the TV cabinet while I was away. He kept it as a surprise until I went to the apartment few days later. :D

Love it. This is and "old" picture coz we have a TV now. But we cannot watch in the noon coz we have no curtain yet in the living room .. LOL. And we can only watch normal channel as we have no astro and DVD player yet.

What's missing now is fridge, washing machine, my stuff, his stuff, and the owners ..

We spent our weekend there now. Feel like we are having our "holiday" there every weekend. Check in on Fri night and check out on Sunday night. I am not kan cheong to move in anymore coz I get to stay there over the weekend. Traffic on weekdays is nightmare. Not sure when I want to move in. I got too much stuff to pack that I don't know where to start!

A happy moment

Anly said I didn't update my blog so everytime she visit my blog, it's "a sad visit" ... ops ... sorry :P

I have been lazy and busy to update my blog. There are always thoughts running in my mind but once I get to use the computer then I forgot all about it.

Anywayz, we have finished the painting for my apartment. We spent 4 weekends to do it!!! A lesson learned, if you have a choice, let the pro do it for you. It was fun initially, but we got tired and sick of it later on.

Since we are not the pro so we have this problem. When I paint the wall, I tape the door frame so that I won't mis-paint it. So when I want to paint the door, I take out the tape and the paint on door frame came out together. Never mind coz I am going to paint the door. So I tape the wall this time so that I won't mis-paint the wall when I paint the door. After I am done and take out the tape, the paint on the wall came out together pulak! Hey like that it's a never ending story eh!!!! So we have to fill the hole, then repaint it. This time .. it kena the door frame. But WE DON'T CARE ANYMORE!!!! Gik sei. That's why I say ... let the pro do it. But I wonder .. how they do it ah? A better tape perhaps?

We also cleaned the house. Furnitures are coming in 20th June. This Sat we are going to Ikea and get our TV cabinet. Hopefully when I am back from my biz trip, darlingz will finish installing it. Hehehe. Or should we be doing it together? I can only watch and give 38 comments wor. Kacau aje :P

A sad visit

I visited a friend in hospital today. She just delivered a baby but the baby had no chance to see the beautiful world. When I heard the news I felt shock. I don't know what to say to console her and I was totally speechless. What can you say to the person?

Before I visit her, I thought she will look stunned, not talking, crying and stuff. But to my surprise, she smiled at me, talked to me, and even describe to me how her baby looked like and what actually happened. I feel so touched and amazed. She is such a strong girl and have accepted the fact so quickly. I guess family support is important. She has a loving husband, and wonderful family members.

May God bless R, and I hope she will recover quickly, for the body and soul.

We painted our apartment this weekend. Well, we managed to paint the masterbed room and one wall in the living room only but I think it's a good start. (Seriously, how many weekend we need to finish the painting??)

By the way, we are doing the painting ourself. When we got married, my FIL painted his own house. So this time, he offered to paint for us and I have always been wanting to do some painting myself (just for fun) so we agreed to it.

It's fun. I like it. But it's tiring. FIL seems to be having unexhausted energy. He never complained that he is tired and wants to leave. He can stay there to paint till don't know what time if not MIL rush us to go home. I got backpain, hand pain, leg pain. Gosh ...

But I am happy and proud coz I painted my own room ^_^ (well, at least part of it .. kakakaka)

不听老人言,吃亏在眼前

I went to inspect the house progress yesterday. I noticed the paint on the masterbedroom door frame has fallen off and it's obvious. So I called the plaster ceiling contractor and ask if he will fix it for me. He is the only contractor doing work currently. In the past 2 weeks, there were contractors for air cond and electric point also. But they finished their work early last week.

If the paint has been gone since last week we would have noticed it coz it's at the entrance and it's such a long deep scratch. So I am pretty sure it's an accident by the PC contractors. Then they also made drawings on my wall all over the house on how the PC should look like. And scratch the wall, left plaster ceiling material on the wall. So it's a must to repaint the wall now.

Anywayz, when I call and ask the PC contractor, he said no he is not going to repaint the wall and clean it for us because if you do PC then memang the wall will be dirty and scratched and stuff. Then I said oh I wasn't aware of that so okay. But the door frame you have to repaint for me. Then he said "How can you prove it's done by my people? You got evidence meh?"

I got so frustrated. But this is exactly what WCB told me when we decided to have different contractors to do different stuff. He said if you engage 1 main contractor then he will settle everything for you. Otherwise if anything gone wrong, no one will admit they are the culprit for the issue. And WCB said the person will surely answer you "How can you prove? You got evidence or not?" BINGO! Exactly what the contractor say now ..

But it's okay. We will repaint the wall, and also repaint the door. I always hate the door so it's good that I can at least change it's color. Yeah!

Untitled

Something happened recently and it's making me very confused, very sad, and very lost. I keep telling myself it's over and they can no longer harm me but I am still feeling scared and miserable. I hope it's only for today, and tomorrow will be a better day.

I need to let go of the feeling, learn the lesson from the incident and then do the things I should be doing in the future.

God please help me to get over this.

First completed job

Today I went to check out my apartment. The grille was installed on Monday but I was sick so I wasn't there to jaga. My PIL helped us and took care of it.

I love this grille. Initially darling and my PIL didn't like it and they actually selected 2 other design. But I told them I really like this and I want this. I am really grateful that they went ahead with this because of their love to me. Thanks to my PIL!!! (and they paid for this) Thank you!!!

Easter

I went for Calvary church easter musical presentation at Bukit Jalil yesterday. Before the musical start I helped out to conduct a simple survey to find out how effective is the publicity work. The survey is to be conducted with the visitors to see how they get to know the event. Therefore when we meet someone, the first question we ask is "are you a Calvarite?"

The survey went well and people are generally friendly. Then there is this group of African I asked the guy "Hi are you a Calvarite?" He said yes then I said thank you. He then came and approach me again and ask me "Is there other event going on here?" I said "Er .. I don't think so" He then said with a very sacarstic look "Then why you ask if I am a Calvarite?????" I feel so funny. I don't know why he is so offended at my question. I exlained to him we are looking for visitors to conduct survey and stuff then he finally "ohhhhhhhh".

Don't jump into conclusion. Understand what people are trying to do first!!!!

开 工 大 吉

Finally! Finally the water leaking problem is fixed. So we have paid the deposit to the developer and we can 开 工 next Monday. Yay!

To ask or not to ask?

Sometimes, when a friend ask a question, its because they are concern. Not because they are kay poh and waiting for a show to happened .. I know that the person is not in a good mood, perhaps its a very bad timing to ask that question. However, friends ask because they concerned.

I am feeling so mistaken. My intention is genuinely good. I just want to know if things are okay. However the good intention was being misinterpreted.

I kept quiet and walked away. Perhaps this is the best way to answer the misinterpretion.

Fat

Bumped into Wei Siang today at Gardens. Obviously he didn't read my blog coz he said I must be very hung fuk coz I put on lots of weight. And he asked me if I am pregnant.

I spent too much attention on my new image and hair cut lately. Forgotten to update on the house .. :P

We have NOT started anything yet. What?? Still haven't start? Yeah here's why:

Have reported the problem to the developer last week and they are still fixing it. Grille is ready to be installed but we need to fix this problem first. Have been calling the contractor 3 times a week .. hopefully can kau tim in this week ..

Hair do 3

I cut my hair again!!! I didn't come here to cut it but once Celine see my hair she asked how come my hair is growing so fast .. :S Oh well, it's a bit out of shape d and difficult to style. So she cut it.

And I am sitting here now to dye my hair. The image class teacher did give us a few colours that we can choose from for our hair. Celine recommended golden blonde and copper. We chose copper in the end, hoping that it will make me look fairer and brighter. Oh well .. let's see ..

As I mentioned, I can go online here. And they provide coffee too. And ... Celine brought me some yummy biscuit!! Wah .. nice. Then ... I asked them .. "do I ah .. have to pay for the coffee ah??" Then she laughed and said no no not charging. *phew* (hair do charges is high enough to cover all cost ... :P)

Okay, let me finish my hair do, and I will post the pic. But, I think it looks quite the same with before :P

LWM

I went to LWM with Grace today. She is seriously looking for slimming package and I just tag along to kay poh. They are giving out free first trial and guaranteed 4cm-16cm lose after 1 try. I am interested in this. Guaranteed wor ... I want to "chak" the "jiu pai" la. Hahaha.

The first impression was really bad. We waited for more than 15 minutes to see the consultant. We have already made appointment so I don't know what time management is that. Btw they have us separated so that we cannot talk, cannot discuss and no chance to turn them down.

So they took my body measurement which obviously looking really bad and really need a slimming package. The slimming treatment sounds nice. So I did the free treatment and it was pretty good. And then I found out how does the guaranteed-cm-lose works. The first time they take your measurement before the treatment, the measurement is all rounded up. Like 32, 50, 80. Then after treatment, the measurement become 31.2, 49.6, 79.3. So add up all the small difference for the whole body, I managed to lose 8cm after the treatment. Not bad? I think this is a trick. :P

After the treatment then it's time for selling. Grace signed up for the programme and managed to bargain something good. I am not interested to sign up at all. It cost 4K plus and I can use that money to get a lot of small electrical goods. At first they push the package, it didn't work then they push the membership. It didn't work then they push the RM 500 deposit. Again it didn't work then they push the RM 500 refundable deposit. At last, they said put the RM 500 refundable deposit under Grace's account and I don't have to pay. What? I thought she said must put cash deposit to lock in blah blah blah and must generate receipt blah blah blah and company policy blah blah blah???

Their sales strategy and training are good. They are really well trained. So if you intend to join but cannot decide which centre and package, then 80% you will be convinced by them. I do not intend to join, I play2 only. I actually regretted to go for the trial. The feeling of being push is really bad coz I felt that they cornered me. Don't like it at all.

So .. don't play play lah. Want then only go for it! :P

Hair do 2

So I went back to Centro yesterday wanted to ask Celine how to style my hair. Then while waiting for her I read a hair styling magazine and have an idea. I think I will look better if I make my hair shorter. She thinks that my length is better but I insist. So she did it for me and now I love my new hair style!!!!!!!

Hair do

Yesterday I went to Centro Hair Salon at Gardens to do my hair. It's a nice and comfortable salon. They have wi-fi for you to go online and I think it's a nice idea coz hair do really take long time. You don't have to waste your time. For me, since I didn't have my laptop the boss was kind enough to offer me her DVD player and a stack of DVD for me to choose. I chose a HK drama series and watch 4 episodes there ... so you can imagine how long I spent there ....

Damage is pretty bad. Such a nice place and good service, sure more expensive lah! But compare to the salon I go at Pandan Indah, this one really nicer. PI one always meng-wet-kan my face when they wash my hair :S Then their towels really smell lor. So you pay for the service and quality ... but for the hair styling quality .. I don't know yet.

I don't like my new hair style. It looks weird. I am not used to it at all. Sasa said I need to wax it and make it look messy. I will try later .. if masih tak boleh, then I have to go back to Centro and ask them to teach me ...

Btw the smell for hair perming is always un-pleasant. But surprisingly this one smells good. The boss did tell me her product smell very nice. Indeed.

I am really amazed at myself. How can one have so many clothes but only 1 blouse and 2 skirts are matching my color?

I attended image class by Jill Lowe today. It's on color, style and body today. Tomorrow it will be on makeup. This is a 2 days course and yes, it's very expensive.

My color is autumn-spring. Meaning no black. No blue-based colors. Tomorrow we need to dress up to our best according to our color and we can bring clothes for her to tell us if it will look nice on our body. The thing is, I have only 1 set of baju that can pass the "test" (I think lah). So you will probably see me wearing that all the time if I pass the "test" tomorrow. Wahahaha.

Jill Lowe has her own brand of makeup and skin care too. She will recommend the colors of the makeup too. So we need to bring $$$ tomorrow. Good business eh? But I think she is good. She don't emphasis on your outer beauty only, she also want us to carry our good inner beauty. She commented that I am the "chou lou" type so I need to change ... can I talk softly? Can you hear me ah? Hahahahahahaha.

As for the body, obviously I am the curve type. She also adviced me on some problem for my back bone. She knows I got back pain!! I really think she knows her stuff. ;)

I am excited for tomorrow. Before going for the class I think I am okay. I don't have superstar taste but at least I don't memalukan you as my friend. But after attending the class ... gosh everything that I have been doing, IT'S ALL WRONG! Wrong! Wrong! Wrong!

More and more contractors

I met up with 2 contractors today. Got 1 quotation d and the other one will be ready only by weekend. Generally it's hard to decide coz A might be cheaper in this and B is cheaper in the other.

Basically no one is cheaper than the other. They all have their own "strength" and "weaknesses" in terms of price. So how ah? Pick the best from each, and engage them all for different stuff kah?

Are you pregnant?

A question I tend to get very often lately. I think I am putting on weight, and since I just got married, people keep asking me or my mum or lai lai if I am pregnant.

I think this can be very sensitive question but I am used to it now. I used to have friends who put on weight and we suspect she is pregnant. But we don't dare to ask coz if you ask and if the person is not then you are telling her she is so fat till she looks like she is pregnant. How do you think she will feel?

But a fact is a fact. I am putting on. To all my friends who read my blog. I am not going to get pregnant this year. So don't bother asking .. you know the answer .. ;)

Come to think of it, will this motivate me to work harder at the gym? :D

Long weekend

We just spent our long weekend to shop for the house. On Saturday we went to Ikea and we like a dining table there. It's very cheap but it seems only me and darling like it. The rest prefer square. But it's OUR dining table! So .. :P

We also met up with a contractor who look super blur. Like he just woke up like that. The best thing is, he didn't bring measuring tape. If I didn't bring mine to measure for furnitures, what is he there for without his measuring tape huh?

On Sunday we went to hunt for wardrobe and kitchen. We went to Lifestyle Kitchen, Maxima, and etc etc. Apparently shops in Kota Damansara give us cheaper quote than shops in TTDI. And I was so surprised to find out a simple wardrobe can cost more than RM 10,000. For a wardrobe? Hello?

I am feeling quite miserable coz I have not found any contractors or shops or person who I feel I can trust and engage him. Is it that hard? You need to have a good feeling with the person/shop, and then the price is what you can accept. It's all about money ...

On Monday the person who does electrical point and aircond point came to see the apartment and quote. It's going to cost RM 4,000. Someone ask me oh include aircond is it? Lei jau siong lor. For the points and installation only!!!!

See such a small thing also cost 4K d. Then lai lai wants to get another guy to quote. If we go on and on like this, I think we are going to move in by .... Christmas. Or new year perhaps ...

The noon time programme was more pleasant. We went to LDP perabot mall to see furnitures. We were very down at first. Coz it's all so ugly. Then we have our hope back after like 5 shops. Price is acceptable and we like the design too. We have a very yim chim taste for bed frame. The lorenzo type is so lou tou, and the wood type is not nice. We finally find one that we like at enoma collection. The japanese style!!! ;) By the way we find Lorenzo's furnitures are very big and bulky. And of course I don't have to mention .. it's super expensive.

I have another contractor coming tomorrow. We quite like him. Hopefully this is the one. I am sien d. I am like aunty buying stuff at the market ... look all the stalls, just to get the cheapest deal. What to do? 钱不够用!!

迷思

世上有许许多多的事，令我觉得迷失。

比如说最近及今早的事。有个人拿了些东西出来，说明不够当场的人分，但这是每个人都会有用到的东西。于是大家冲上前去抢。我不是喜欢去抢的人，我觉得人是应该会排队会礼让的动物。结果每次这样的情形下，我都争不到那样东西。

于是我想，是我应该去改变吗？我也应该像大家一样去争先恐后地抢吗？那我不就是成为了我最不喜欢的那种人了吗？

适者生存，人不为己天诛地灭，手快有手慢无。。。

My apartment

Two weeks already, the interior designer has yet to come out with anything. Since he is doing it for free, we cannot be rushing him or questioning him. Last Saturday we had another contractor to give us some ideas and quote for us. Then I call him up yesterday for the quotation and he asked "You so kan cheong meh?" Really cha dou. Is business that good lately?? If you want a quotation from me, I can give it to you latest tomorrow. Or this contractor is very popular? :D

The good thing is that yesterday we met up with Teong Wee and Ai Nee. They came to see the apartment and contributed a lot of ideas. Teong Wee just renovated his semi D and it's very very nice. He designed it on his own by referring to lots of magazine. So we took his magazine, and his idea. Ai Nee has this talent to draw out the layout and ideas using pencil and ruler. It's a 2D picture but good enough for us to visualise it. Cool! Btw Ai Nee is a chemistry lecturer, nothing to do with art.

I am glad we finally have an idea on how the apartment will look like. This weekend we will go and check out wardrobe coz we still have one very "kick sau" problem. You see our master bed room is quite small. We have a wardrobe but it's only good enough for bajus and no space for makeup table. There may be space for makeup table in the room itself, but it crashes with feng sui pulak. You know I don't care. But all others do. So .. I am geram but again I try to compromise ...

Meanwhile, nothing to be done till Sat.

我 最 爱 的 银 行

不 知 怎 的， 我 会 选 择 在 这 个 最 大 雨 的 时 候 出 去。 整 个 下 午 及 晚 上 雨 时 大 时 小， 我 就 偏 偏 在 那 个 时 候 去 银 行。 结 果， 身 湿 了， 钱 却 没 有 进 到。

这 间 小 小 的 银 行， 我 十 次 去， 有 九 次 machine 是 坏 的。 可 能 每 次 我 去 都 是 晚 上 或 周 末 吧。Peak time, 而 且 没 有 support. 问 题 是， 今 天 是 限 期 啊！ 就 这 样 。。 我 的 底 花 了。。 就 这 样， 我 要 付 更 高 的 利 息 了。。

可 幸 的 是， 还 有 一 次 付 款， 我 就 可 以 摆 脱 这 间 银 行 带 给 我 的 恶 梦 了。 下 一 个 月， 我 就 可 以 取 消 它 了！ 年 费 特 别 贵， 不 能 做 interbank transfer, 只 因 为 它 是 card center， 不 是 银 行。

我 最 爱 的 银 行。。。 dang dang dang dang dang dang dang dang!

No progress. The designer said he needs another few days to come out with the design. So we are still waiting. Anyone has any "peng, leng, zheng" designer/contractors to recommend?

We are going to check out grilled this weekend. Again, any recommendation?

All's well end's well

The dinner on Sunday went well. I did not memalukan my dad and myself! :D And someone commented my voice is very nice somemore. Wahaha. But dad said I still don't use my voice well. Oh well, at least he didn't say I did badly. He really has talent in this. He can just take the mic and say something right from his mind and do not need a script. I think I have 5% of his talent only ..

Stress

Am very stress. Am very busy but very free. I don't know how to describe the feeling.

I have a dinner this coming Sunday and I need a lot of preparation. Dad and I are going to be the emcee for the dinner. 100 tables. Frankly sometimes I hate myself coz I recommended myself. But this is a very good way to know new people. As you all know I have very limited friends.

Dad is doing all the work on what to say and when to say. I know I can do it, but I just need lots of preparation. He is still drafting out and he is also busy like hell. We are doing so last minute work!!!!

Oh well, I just wish all will be well and I at least won't memalukan myself and dad. Wish me luckkkkkkkkkkk.

Surprise

I was watching Lipstick Jungle tonight and my house phone kept ringing. I always ignore it coz no one will call me at my house phone. Only mum's friends and mum is not at home so I lazy to pick it up.

Then someone press my door bell and it was darling! He asked me why I never pick up his call and that he called my handphone 20+ times but couldn't get thru. And he called my mum but mum is working so she also never pick up. He got worried so he came all the way to see if I am okay. Aiyo so touched O_O

Later I asked him if he will still do the same 10 years later. It actually happened once many years ago and he did the same. But I think he won't have to come all the way very soon coz we are going to move in together soon ^_^

Anywayz, I don't know it's my phone's problem or digi's problem. My handphone never ring for the whole night. Calls just can't get thru. My HTC touch is behaving very weird lately. Is it time to change? But what phone to change to? I love this phone!

House key hand over day

We went to the developer's office today to make payment and get the house key. We paid 2000+ for all kind of deposits and 3 months in advance for the service charge. Darling and lai lai are very excited coz they have been waiting for the house to be ready since 4 years ago.

So here's some pictures of the apartment. I quite like it. It's small, about 1000 sqt only but it's nice enough for the 2 of us (for now). Tomorrow Mun's friend who is also a interior designer will come and see our apt and give some ideas. Can't wait for it!

Finally!

I am back! Married life is great, but frankly speaking not complete. Simply coz we are not staying together. So it's kind of like the old time .. no difference. (That is why it is great ... eh?)

He stays at my place over the weekend but it's not working so well. He cannot sleep well and it's quite troublesome also. I can really see his effort in making this work. Thanks dear!

Anywayz, the good news is, we are getting the key tomorrow! Yay! FINALLY. Will take picture of the apartment. To show the before and after. ;)

More work coming. To complain on the defects (if any) and start looking for contractor. What to do ah? I have totally no idea. Very bad in this. I don't know what I want. I don't mind if darling decides it all ... just give me nice sofa, nice king size bed, nice wardrobe, nice make up table .. hmmm. Quite a lot also. Hahahaha.
